This client came to us with a fairly limited budget and one goal: Improve search rankings nationwide for their target keywords.
I'd like to say this was a difficult project, but it wasn't. It's one of the examples I often use when I talk about how important both brand awareness and competition is in SEO.
Condition-based monitoring isn't exactly the most hyper competitive niche online, but IVC is definitely the leader in the field. And because of that, we thought that we could do some pretty simple, low-cost stuff to get ranked without a lot of effort.
The initial goal was to rank around the country for anyone searching for vibration analysis services in their area. Very few other companies even offer these services, and of the ones that do, none appear to be doing any SEO work.
Because of that we thought we could get ranked simply by creating sort of a directory structure with location pages for each state and city they operated in.
Here's are a few screenshots of those pages ranking #1 (with an answer box) and #2 in two of our target markets in Google:
These pages actually ranked so fast that we didn't even have time to finish them. Within a couple days of publishing, these local pages were already at #1.
We kept adding markets and over the course of 1 year we achieved the #1 ranking in Google for 185 separate markets:
